The titan football team came away with a hard earned win Friday night 27-6 over Cambridge City Lincoln. The titan offense controlled the line of scrimmage as many of their running backs were able to run the ball successfully. Vade Dishman led all backs with 85 rushing yards, Zach Davis was just behind with 82 yards, Tyler Kingery was 3rd in line rumbling for 66 yards. Dishman and Kingery ran a score in a piece. Butler added 17, and freshman Parker Burk added 7 of his own. Butler threw for 74 yards connecting with fellow junior Holden Thomas for 2 scores, one on a 29 yard throw and another for 45.
The titan defense brought a bend but don’t break mentality Friday night, stopping the eagle offense for most of the evening. Dennis Trosper led from the middle along with fellow senior Andrew Pierce and freshman Parker Burk, the 3 were in on many stops throughout the evening. Defensive line was led by senior Liam Rains contributing to many tackles for no gains along with senior Robby Pandoli.
Team 48 will play again Saturday Sept 14th at home vs Wes-Del, kickoff to start at 2pm. Tri HS will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary with a very big crowd expected to be there. Come out and support the titans as they look to bring earn another win and celebrate the past along with the future!
