The Tri High boys tennis team played a solid match and was able to claim a victory over TEC opponent Hagerstown Thursday evening with a 4-1 score. In Singles action, Tri’s #1, Kyle Falck, defeated Hagerstown’s Jayden Bussell with scores of 6-0, 6-2. At #2, Tri’s Dillon Stevens played his best match of the year and won over Hagerstown’s Mason Pruitt 6-1, 6-0. At #3 singles, Tri’s Adam Glaze, despite playing a solid match, was defeated by Gabe Warvel 2-6, 2-6. In doubles action, Tri swept both positions playing some of their best tennis of the season. At #1 doubles, Tri’s team of Isaiah Steel and Jarod Stevens defeated Hagerstown’s Eli Richards and Jacob Henley with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Rounding out the night, Tri’s #2 doubles team of Dylan Mofield and Peyton Robertson defeated the team of Nick Habansky and Brendan Smith with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Tri is now 2-4 on the season and next plays at home against Union City on Tuesday.
