Hagerstown High School
Team #46 suffered a loss Friday night to a tough Hagerstown Tiger football team with the final score being 48-12 Hagerstown. Small mistakes plagued the Titans both offensively and defensively with the Tigers capitalizing on those miscues. Even though it was a lop sided scoreboard, there were positives taken away from the evening, most importantly the Titans came together and fought for 4 quarters.
Offensively the Titan ground game was led by Nick Wilson rushing for 107 yards and 1 TD. Alex Melton had 3 pass completions on the evening for 24 yards. Drew Mondrush had a reception for 9 yards, Seth Butler had a reception, and Nick Wilson added a catch of his own.
Defensively the Titans were led by the three linebackers on the defense, Logan Stephens, Justin Greene, and Austin Fowler. All 3 had stellar evenings leading the Titan D. The defensive secondary held tough as well, not surrendering a deep ball by a tough H-town offense. The secondary consisting of Seth Butler, Gage Rowe, and Nick Wilson. Dennis Trosper recorded a fumble recovery for a TD towards the end of the ball game to record his first varsity TD.
The Titans, now 3-3 on the season, travel to cross-town rivals Knightstown next Friday evening to defend the Victory Bell. This will be the first opportunity for the program to defend the bell in quite some time. Come out and support Team 46 as we look to get back on track and retain the bell for a second consecutive season! #LEO
