The Tri HIgh Tennis team ran its season record to 4-3 with a 3-2 victory over TEC rival, Lincoln on Wednesday. Winning for Tri, and running their record to a perfect 7-0 was the #1 doubles team of Mason Rottinghaus and Jimmy Jeffries. They defeated their Lincoln opponents Michael Dalrymple and Carter Melter 6-0, 4-6, and 6-4. At #2 doubles, Tri’s team of Isaiah Steele and Jarod Stevens defeated their Lincoln opponents Brandon Duran and Erich Vernon 6-1 and 6-4. Also winning for Tri, and doing so with the match tied at two all was Tri’s #2 singles player Clayton Becker. Clayton pulled out a tough fought match with Lincoln’s Mathew Berry 6-3, 1-6, and 7-6 to secure the victory for the Titans. In other matches, Tri’s #1 single’s player Kyle Falck lost his match to Seth Morris with scores 1-6 and 3-6. Also, and rounding out the scores, Tri’s #3 singles Josiah Jackson fell to Lincoln’s Mark Cox 1-6 and 1-6. Tri next plays Thursday at TEC opponent Union County.
